Tomlinson was born in Blytheville, Arkansas.  He was raised in Kennett, Missouri. His father is a former basketball star who set scoring records at the University of Missouri and was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers.  He was also the basketball coach, biology teacher, and assistant principal at Kennett High School.

In his junior year of high school, Tomlinson reached the finals for “You Can Be a Star”, a television talent show on The Nashville Network (now Spike TV), in which Trent placed second. After numerous deals cut short due to labels that went bankrupt or were being taken over, Tomlinson landed a songwriting deal with Cal IV Entertainment. Some of his songs were recorded by Emerson Drive and Blue County on their respective debut albums. He also cut some sides for Lyric Street Records, with whom he later signed a record deal. Tomlinson’s debut single, “Drunker Than Me”, was released in late 2005, followed by his album Country Is My Rock. Two additional singles were also released from the album: “One Wing in the Fire” and “Just Might Have Her Radio On”, the former is a song about Tomlinson’s father. Tomlinson also co-wrote the track “Missing Missouri” on Sara Evans’ 2005 album Real Fine Place, “Why Can’t I Leave Her Alone” on George Strait’s 2006 album It Just Comes Natural.

On December 15, 2008 it was announced that Tomlinson would be the second artist signed to Lyric Street’s subsidiary label, Carolwood Records. His fourth single, “That’s How It Still Oughta Be,” made its chart debut in January 2009. That song fell from the charts in May 2009 and was replaced by “Henry Cartwright’s Produce Stand”. A third single, “Angels Like Her” (a re-recording of a song on his debut), was released on October 26, 2009, shortly before the closure of Carolwood. Tomlinson subsequently returned to Lyric Street before parting ways in March 2010. All three songs were included on an EP titled A Guy Like Me.

Tomlinson released “Man Without a Woman” via Skyville Records in 2011, and did not release an album despite the single charting. In 2014, Parmalee released the single “Close Your Eyes”, which went to #1 which Tomlinson co-wrote.

Trent Currently has a publishing deal with Mucho Love Music, and recently dropped his new album “That’s What’s Working Right Now”. As an artist he has found great success with the first single “When She Goes There”, and is currently anticipating even more with the title track being released as the second single. As a writer, Trent’s song for Brett Young “In Case You Didn’t Know” is currently climbing the country charts.

with BUCKCHERRY, P.O.D., Lit, Alien Ant Farm
BLK Live, 7301 E. Butherus Drive, Scottsdale, AZ
Fri September 7, 2018

Rock and roll should make you want to do a few things. Let Buckcherry guitarist Keith Nelson explain.

“It should make you want to drive fast, fuck, and dance,” he grins.

On their seventh full-length album, Rock ‘n’ Roll [F-Bomb Records/Caroline], the Los Angeles quintet—Josh Todd [vocals], Nelson, Stevie D. [guitar], Xavier Muriel [drums], and Kelly LeMieux [bass]—staunchly uphold the commandments of rock music with an arsenal of new anthems primed to explode on impact and teeming with riotous energy, sexy swagger, and primal chops intact.  It’s something that the boys have done since day one, but it’s more necessary now than ever.

“There’s been so much talk about how rock ‘n’ roll is dead and all of this bullshit,” sighs Todd. “The funny thing is, that’s been going on since we put out our first record in 1999. We wanted to call the new album Rock ‘n’ Roll, because this is what we’ve been doing our whole lives. We focused on making a record that encompasses all of what we are. You get every flavor of Buckcherry.”

2014 saw the group unleash their Fuck EP, the first release for their own F-Bomb Records. Bolstered by the hit single “Say Fuck It,” a sizzling take on Icona Pop’s “I Love It,” the six-song set quickly became a commercial and critical success. Immediately after it impacted, they cut the ten tracks that would comprise Rock ‘n’ Roll, once again produced by Keith Nelson.

“This is the best time to be in Buckcherry,” he continues. “We’ve got our own record label, and we’re making all the rules. We had so much fun on the Fuck EP, and it gave us a foundation as far as putting out an album independently. The momentum was so great that we didn’t stop.”

They rev up Rock ‘n’ Roll with the propulsive first single and opener “Bring It On Back.” From the jump, a robust guitar groove struts right alongside an unshakable refrain. It’s got the band’s signature hallmarks, but Todd pulled lyrical inspiration from a new source altogether. “When I’m not on the road, I race Go Karts for my hobby,” he says. “The song is really about racing. I had a driver named Kurt Busch in mind when I wrote the lyrics. They call him ‘The Outlaw,’ and he’s a badass. It captures that intensity of racing and the mentality. I love it.”

with Warrant, The School of Rock - Sugar Skulls
BLK Live, 7301 E. Butherus Drive, Scottsdale, AZ
Fri August 31, 2018

At its core, WARRANT is an American rock band through and through. Hitting it big in 1989, the Hollywood, CA based band rose through the ranks of the local Sunset Strip scene to the level of multiplatinum selling, chart-topping success. The band first came into the national spotlight with their debut album Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich. This album produced Radio and MTV chart toppers “Down Boys,” “Sometimes She Cries,” and the massive hit “Heaven” which reached #1 in Rolling Stone and #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in a row. The single “Heaven” enjoyed Gold sales and the Album went Platinum in Canada as well, eventually selling over 3 million copies. The band toured the globe performing 262 shows in support of DRFSR and closed the year with a Platinum Home Video.

WARRANT’s sophomore album Cherry Pie was released in September 1990. This album, which spawned the MTV & Radio hits “Cherry Pie,” “Uncle Tom’s Cabin,” and “I Saw Red,” all reached the Top 10 in the United States and went on to sell 3 million copies, reaching Platinum sales in Canada and Australia. The band played 200 shows in support of Cherry Pie and finished the tour headlining sheds all over the USA and ended up being one of the top grossing tours of 1991. Over the course of their career, WARRANT has sold over 10 million albums worldwide. The song “Cherry Pie” has taken on a pop culture life of its own, being featured in countless movies, TV shows, commercials and the hugely popular video game Guitar Hero II.

WARRANT's signature style of rock music is very catchy and yet very melodic and remains the band's signature sound today. In September 2008, Robert Mason replaced Jani Lane (RIP) as lead vocalist joining the other four original members, Jerry Dixon, Steven Sweet, Joey Allen and Erik Turner. Their current album Louder Harder Faster, released on Frontiers Records, has been highly regarded in reviews and embraced by fans.

WARRANT has been headlining festivals, casinos and fairs all over the country in support of their latest CD Louder Harder Faster. The band is fired up and tighter than every musically! These rockers can’t wait to play not only ALL the hits fans know & love, but also new tunes/videos like “Louder Harder Faster” & “I Think I Will Just Stay Here & Drink.”
